Tes is a self-taught artist, illustrator, and graphic designer. Born into a very creative family, she has practiced art her whole life, and began working at a young age in various fields including graphic arts, mural and sign painting, digital illustration, and even the culinary arts of dessert plating and cake decorating. Of all the different art forms she’s tried, she always comes back to painting.
Here’s what she has to say about her art:
“My art is created from memories, and the feelings connected to them. Places I’ve been, things I’ve experienced, people I’ve known, are all represented in a way. The viewer may not recognize a person or place, as the focus has shifted to allow their own interpretations. The vision may change. The spirit remains. My hope is that viewers will experience some of the emotions that I infused into each painting, or even awaken a memory of their own.”
Tes works mostly in acrylics on canvas, and also dabbles in various other mediums as the mood strikes her. She currently lives and paints in sunny Florida, where she also runs a successful quilt pattern company along with her Mom, Paulette. In her spare time, she enjoys making charts and graphs to figure out what to do in her spare time.
